Job description:
As an E&I (Electrical and instrumentation) engineer you will help in the preparation and execution of offshore topside decommissioning preparation phases from interface to hand-over to topside removal project team. As a very autonomous and proactive electrical engineer, you will be asked to bring innovative methodologies for preparation work, bring fresh knowledge to the industry, working on a fit-for-purpose solution.
Job responsibilities include:
1, Design, plan and execute the interface between jack-ups and platforms
- Gather, review and assess the installation (platform or Jack-up) data (drawings, operation procedure, datasheets)
- Design and propose a platform–jack–up interface solution for all required instrumentation and power system
- Review the project team's requirement for power supply and assist in design, procurement and installation of a suitable electrical layout.
2, Support offshore activities
- Troubleshoot and support the offshore team during projects about the management of the platform controls and any E&I-related subject
- Provide electrical and instrumentation expertise and engineering information and assist the rig management team with any E&I task on the rigs
- Be the technical support for the offshore rig electricians
3, Offshore supervision during critical project phases, especially during the preparation and execution of the interface
4, Provide expertise in the electrical and instrumentation topics to the company. Ensure the company procedure and the work comply with the rules and regulations.
Qualification and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering
- Experience min 3y in an industrial company working with a strong focus on E&I engineering and site operations
- Previous knowledge and experience in an offshore or marine environment is a plus
- Familiarity with international electrical codes and standards. Willing to learn new rules related to the marine and offshore sector
- Right to work in the Netherlands
- Willing to learn UK oil and Gas regulation
- Willing to travel onshore and offshore
- Interest and curiosity for other activities of the decommissioning sector (dismantlement, wells and P&A, regulatory compliance)
- MS Office
- AutoCAD (general knowledge)
- Fluency in English (Dutch or French a plus)
- Team player, autonomous, flexible and eager to contribute
